Job Description

We’re looking for an Editorial Project Manager (Full-time) who’ll- 

  • Take care of a certain part of our team, 
  • Help them to enjoy what they do, and 
  • Be better at it over time. 

Job Location: Mirpur DOHS

Working Days: 5 Days/ Week. 3 Days Office and 2 Days Remote.

Working Hours: 40 Hours Weekly

Probation Period: 1.5 Months (Half-pay)

Starting: 21 December 2021

Last Date of Application: 6PM, 14 December 2021

Job Responsibility

Managing - 30%

  • Meet the monthly goal of producing 200K words from 15-20 content developers.
  • Understand the requirements of different projects and submission calenders.
  • Onboard freshly trained-up content developers and bring them up to par.
  • Rank the writers as per the given metrics based on each month’s performances.
  • Assist the writers to assign and meet the deadlines anyway.
  • Constantly coordinating and communicating with the team
  • Be available to assist the writers as much as possible
  • Be able to switch between friendly and strict attire simultaneously.


Editing - 30%

  • Understand Rank Wizard’s editorial policies and QC standards.
  • Check for On-page SEO factors throughout the contents.
  • Proofread and check for plagiarism(with given tools).
  • Fact-checking the information provided by the writers.
  • Help the writers to do better research, strategizing, formatting, and optimizing.


Problem Solving - 30%

  • Adjusting to a writer missing deadlines without providing any valid reasons.
  • Solving small conflicts within the team without involving senior managers.
  • Solving the problem of writers being distanced with the culture of Rank Wizards


Other Duties - 10%

  • Develop a thorough knowledge regarding the industry of Niche Publication and Digital Assets
  • Understand the company culture, adapting and sustaining it across the layers of the team
  • Encourage and assist the team to put the best efforts and level up their responsibilities
  • Give inputs and feedback to mitigate conflicts

  • Don’t bleed work out of your team. Make sure they’re within their comfort zone. 
  • Don’t forget to take breaks, and balance your work-life. 
  • Don’t be a lone wolf. Reach out to others and let others do such to you as well.

Eligibility Criteria

Education: We don’t care about your education background as long as you can provide 40 hours a week. However, this position is off-limits to the students. 

Experience: People with prior experience will get preference. But freshers are highly encouraged to apply.
 
P.S. Knowing or pursuing a third language is a plus.

Timeline

6 PM, 14 December

1st round ends. This is basically the last date of application. 

8pm, 15 December

2nd round starts. We’ll mail another test form to the selected applicants. Through this test we will try to evaluate the problem solving skills of the applicants.

17 December

This is another part of the 2nd round. We will hold a group discussion. A situation will be given and the applicants have to solve it.

18 December

We’ll announce the results of the 2nd round. The results will be calculated based on the 2 parts of the 2nd round.

19 December

Starting of the 3rd round. This will be an in-house interview. We’ll mail the details to the selected candidates. 

21 December

We will onboard the new employees. Based on the performance of the 3 rounds, we will select our new managers. The result will be announced on 20 December. We will pass the details through mail.
